Hundreds arrested in protests against Macron's policies

In France, the socio-economic policy of President Emmanuel Macron caused great controversy and discontent among the general public. Mass demonstrations intensified in a number of major cities of the country.

As a result of calls spread on social networks under the slogan "Stop everything," hundreds of people took to the streets in Paris, Lyon, Rennes, and many other cities. The protesters expressed their dissatisfaction by blocking the main roads and disrupting public transport.

In the city of Rennes, the situation escalated. Barricades were built on the roundabout roads, which were burned. It was noted that buses were set on fire in some parts of the city. In Lyon, a garbage bin was overturned on the tram tracks and burned.

According to police, at least 85 people have been arrested nationwide. Most of them are in Paris - 75 people. In the process of eliminating the unrest, security forces were sometimes forced to use tear gas.

Protesters mainly express dissatisfaction with policies related to jobs, social security, and living standards. It is said that the reforms being adopted by the government are burdening the lives of ordinary people and exacerbating the economic crisis.
