During Kazakhstan’s visit to the UN, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev relieved Deputy Prime Minister — Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu of his post and appointed him as the President’s aide.
At the same time, Yermek Kusherbayev was appointed as Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister. Previously, he had served as Deputy Prime Minister.
President Tokayev also implemented a rotation of several personnel responsible for foreign policy at Ak Orda, which is regarded as a move aimed at further strengthening the country’s foreign policy and ensuring effective management.
