Thirteen people were killed in a tragic incident in the Nigerian state of Zamfara. This was reported by Segun Tomori, press secretary of the country's Ministry of Solid Minerals.

According to him, the accident occurred at a mine located in the village of Jabaka. Dozens of people were injured to varying degrees as a result of the mine collapse.

According to Tomori, Minister Dele Alake assessed the incident as both "preventable" and "sad." At the same time, he emphasized that the mine must be closed after the rescue operations are fully completed.
