Peace talks in Gaza are speeding up
US President Donald Trump has called to speed up negotiations to end the war in Gaza. Indirect peace talks between Hamas and Israel are expected to begin in Egypt on Monday.

Hamas accepted some parts of the US-proposed 20-point plan but did not agree on disarmament and Gaza’s governance. Trump said that “the talks are progressing well” and urged not to waste time.

Israeli airstrikes, however, continue. According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, 65 people were killed in the past 24 hours.

Delegations from Hamas and Israel are preparing for the talks in Cairo. The meeting is seen as an important step toward ending the two-year war in Gaza.
