The US government has introduced new financial measures against illegal migrants. On the instructions of President Donald Trump, a fine of 5,000 dollars was imposed on each person over 14 years of age who entered the country illegally.
This fine, called the "arrest fee," is issued as soon as the migrant is arrested. Most importantly, it is mandatory regardless of subsequent legal proceedings or deportation decisions.
The new procedure is aimed at further tightening migration processes, reducing the number of illegal entry, and strengthening the security of border procedures.
Experts believe this measure could become a significant obstacle for thousands of individuals planning to enter the US illegally. However, the new fine is causing controversy among human rights defenders.
Currently, the new rule is in effect and applies equally to all illegal migrants.
