Pakistan launched an airstrike in eastern Afghanistan at night - officials

On the night of February 21, Pakistani military aviation carried out airstrikes against militants in the eastern regions of Afghanistan.

The Pakistani side stated that these operations were aimed at specific targets, based on intelligence data. At the same time, Kabul officials strongly objected to these attacks.

According to official statements, the strikes were directed against Tehriki, the Taliban Pakistan (TTP), and its affiliated structures. The Pakistani government claims that these groups may have been behind the dangerous attacks that have recently taken place in the country.

Information agencies in Pakistan, including Islamabad, interpreted these actions as a measure to ensure the country's security and called on the international community to exert pressure on Afghanistan.

The Afghan side reported that civilians, including women and children, were killed as a result of the attacks. According to preliminary data, at least 17 people died.

Afghan officials reported that the strikes targeted houses in the Bihsud district, killing several family members, including 12 children and a teenager. As a result of the incident, many people were injured, and photos and videos showing the destruction of houses are being spread on social networks.

The Afghan Ministry of Defense also condemned the attack and warned that a worthy and timely response could be given to Pakistan.
