Ukrainian drones attacked an oil refinery in Russia's Krasnodar Krai on the night of February 28. According to Reuters, the company "Albashneft" is located in Novominskaya, and after the attack, a fire broke out in one of the reservoirs and its surroundings.
According to preliminary information from the local operational headquarters, the fire was caused by the "falling of drone debris." Reuters reports that emergency services have been deployed to the scene, and firefighting efforts are underway. There is currently no officially confirmed information about the victims.
As stated in the report, this is not an isolated case against the energy infrastructure of the Krasnodar Krai in recent days. Reuters wrote this month - on February 17 - that a fire also broke out at the Ilsky Oil Refinery in the Krasnodar region after a drone attack. This indicates that oil facilities in the region are being repeatedly targeted.
In short, another drone attack in Krasnodar Krai caused another fire in the oil infrastructure. Currently, the main focus is on the complete extinguishing of the fire, determining the extent of damage, and disclosing all the details of the incident. Such attacks once again demonstrate that energy facilities remain one of the most sensitive points in the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
