Operation "Lion's Roar": How was Iran's top leadership defeated?

Israeli intelligence spent almost a year racking its brains over a plan to paralyze the Iranian regime with a single air strike. Mass airstrikes, which began on the morning of February 28, were directed at the heart of Tehran - the government complex.

Mode "head cut off"

At that time, an important meeting of the highest military-political leadership of Iran was taking place in the complex. As a result of the strikes, the country's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Muhammad Pakpur, and the Minister of Defense Aziz Nasirzada were killed. Military analysts call this event the "classic decapitation operation."

Who was the "scout" in the bunker?

According to reports, the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) played a significant role in the success of the attack. For several months, the intelligence service monitored every step of the Iranian leaders and reported the exact time and place of the meeting to Israel.

Military expert Anton Mamedov believes that not only high technologies, but also "live intelligence" (agencies) played an important role here. There is a very high probability that there was a "mouse" inside the Iranian government or among the staff servicing the residence, transmitting information to Israel. He may have confirmed that the badge will enter the building and will not exit until the meeting ends.

Why was the attack carried out during the day?

Experts emphasize that Israeli airstrikes in broad daylight are a deliberately chosen strategy:

  • Psychological pressure: striking the center of the capital in front of the whole world was a demonstration of the regime's absolute weakness.
  • A demonstration of confidence: Israel is 100% confident in its ability to suppress air defense systems.

High technology and military prowess

More than 200 aircraft participated in the attack, which suppressed Iranian air defense systems so quickly that the enemy did not have time to respond.

"This is an example of the military art of the 21st century: a perfect combination of intelligence, technical surveillance, and high-precision weapons," says Anton Mamedov.

The expert added that a mistake in hitting such targets is unacceptable, as it could lead to a "political catastrophe."

In your opinion, will the elimination of Iran's top leadership completely change the balance of power in the region, or will the new leadership continue the old policy?
