The US State Department has announced that it has promised a $10 million reward to anyone who provides information about Iran's new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, and several other high-ranking officials.
According to the official statement, there are a total of 10 people on the published list, six of whose names are openly mentioned. Among the wanted persons is Ali Lorijani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran. He was reportedly seen at a recent rally in central Tehran.
The US State Department stated that these individuals lead various units of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Washington has accused this organization of planning and carrying out actions related to international terrorist activity.
The data is collected as part of the U.S. Rewards for Justice program. This program provides for a monetary reward for important information that helps to apprehend wanted persons or bring them to justice.
The State Department's statement notes that the provided information could provide not only a bonus, but also the possibility of relocation if necessary.
