The Chairman of the National Security Commission of the Iranian Parliament, Ibrahim Azizi, stated on his social media page that Iran may take military measures against Ukraine. Aziziy emphasized that Ukraine effectively intervened in the war due to its support of the Israeli regime with drones and its disintegration.
"In accordance with Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, Ukraine has made its territory a legitimate target for Iran," Aziziy wrote.
Ukraine has intensified cooperation with Middle Eastern countries in combating Iranian drones. On March 8, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Ukrainian experts had been sent to Jordan with interceptor drones to protect US bases. Official appeals for assistance were received from 11 countries, including the countries of the Middle East, the USA, and some European countries.
At the same time, Iran has long been assisting Russia in the war against Ukraine. Tehran supplied Moscow with thousands of Shahed attack drones and transferred the technology for their production in Russia.
