The flames of war in the Middle East: US mobilizes thousands of troops

Geopolitical conflicts in the Middle East are entering a new, dangerous phase. While the world's attention is focused on the chain reaction between Tehran and Washington, the Pentagon's sharp steps are further complicating the situation. Zamin.uz analyzes the development of events based on information from authoritative publications.
Leading American publications, such as The New York Times and Reuters, reported on a secret Pentagon order. According to him, an additional 2,000 to 4,000 troops are being sent to the region to create broader military opportunities for President Donald Trump in the ongoing conflict with Iran.
Trump's "two-sided" game
Interestingly, the military mobilization is taking place against the backdrop of Trump's statements about peace.
- Negotiations: The President emphasizes that he is discussing the possibility of an agreement with Tehran "right now."
- A 15-point plan: According to media reports, Washington has provided Iran with a special package of demands to stop the war.
- Current situation: Despite diplomatic speeches, nearly 50,000 military personnel have already been deployed to the military operation called "Epic Fury."
Elite units in action
This time, not ordinary soldiers, but the best units of the US Army are being mobilized:
- The 82nd Airborne Division: These forces are part of the Rapid Reaction Forces (IRF) and are capable of reaching any point on Earth in just 18 hours.
- 10th Mountain Rifle Division: This Marine Corps unit is adapted for long-term and complex terrain combat operations.
The main target is Khark Island?
Military experts believe that the main task of US troops could be to cut off Iran's economic "artery."
- Economic shock: Kharq Island accounts for 90% of Iran's oil exports. To seize it means to bring Tehran to its financial knees.
- Strategic risk: However, expert Daniel Bush warns that this island is located 800 km from the Strait of Hormuz, and American soldiers there could easily become targets for Iranian missiles.
The American people are against war
The Trump administration's military decisions are being sharply criticized by the public. Reuters/Ipsos surveys show that:
- Strike favorites: 35%
- Anti-war: 61%
The Americans are worried that troops in the mountainous regions of Iran will fall into "guerrilla traps" and suffer unnecessary casualties. On social media, comments like "Don't send our soldiers to their deaths, Iran didn't touch anyone until we attacked" are increasing.
Dear readers, do you think this step by the US is a preparation for a real war or political pressure to force Iran to sit at the negotiating table?
