It was reported that Russia delivered 100,000 tons of crude oil to Cuba. The tanker "Anatoliy Kolodkin," carrying this cargo, has arrived in Cuba and is awaiting unloading at the Port of Matanzas.
This event caused discussions in the international arena. In particular, US officials reacted to this issue, emphasizing that this situation does not mean a change in Washington's policy towards Havana.
Answering journalists' questions, White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt emphasized that this delivery is not a change in the political direction. According to him, the US policy towards Cuba remains unchanged.
Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian president, also commented on this issue. According to him, the issue of supplying oil products to Cuba by Russia was previously discussed during negotiations with the US.
