How did Kim Jong-un accept the South Korean president's apology?

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has expressed a positive reaction to the latest apology from South Korean President Lee Jae-myung. As noted, he accepted his apology for the incident involving private drones conducted by South Korea. This incident marks a new stage in interstate relations and adds a new color to political news.
According to Kim Jong-un, the apology of the South Korean president and the measures taken to ensure that such incidents do not happen again are very correct and wise. The North Korean government also praised Lee Jae-myung's actions from a humanitarian and moral perspective. This statement was made by Kim Yo-jong, deputy director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.
"Our government considers President Lee Jae-myung's apology and the measures taken to prevent such incidents from happening again to be very correct and wise. The head of our state appreciates the actions of this honest and generous person," the statement said.
A day earlier, the South Korean president apologized for the drones launched into North Korean territory, describing these actions as "provocative." The decision is being seen as a reform that will help prevent clashes between North and South Korea.
Also last week, South Korean prosecutors announced charges against individuals accused of launching drones along the border with North Korea from September 2025 to January 2026. Among those convicted are a 30-year-old graduate student, an employee of the National Intelligence Service and a military officer. This decision contributes to the improvement of relations between countries.
