Trump's threat and naval clash: Iran refuses talks

Tensions in the Middle East have reached a new level. Diplomatic relations between Tehran and Washington are at risk against the backdrop of a blockade in the Strait of Hormuz and naval clashes. Zamin.uz presents the latest details of this complex geopolitical situation.
Islamabad talks at a dead end
The Iranian government has refused to participate in the next round of talks with the US in Pakistan. According to Iran's "Tasnim" news agency, this was due to the blockade of ports in the Strait of Hormuz and Washington's "excessively high demands."
It is recalled that the first round of talks held in Islamabad on April 11-12 yielded no results. According to the Tehran delegation, the American side's demands had completely led the negotiations into a dead end.
Trump's sharp ultimatum
US President Donald Trump issued an open threat against Iran via the "Truth Social" network. He stated that the American delegation would travel to Islamabad for new negotiations on April 20. Trump claimed he was offering Iran a "fair deal" and threatened to destroy all of Iran's power plants and bridges if it was not accepted.
"I hope they accept it. Otherwise, the US will disable all power plants and bridges in Iran," Trump said.
Naval clash: 'Piracy'?
The situation was further complicated by a naval clash in the Oman and Arabian Seas.
- Incident: The US warship "USS Spruance" stopped and seized the Iranian cargo ship "M/V Touska" en route to Bandar Abbas.
- US position: The Central Command (CENTCOM) stated that the ship attempted to evade the blockade and ignored warnings.
- Iran's reaction: Tehran called the action "piracy," accused the US of breaking the peace, and announced it would retaliate.
Tehran's concern: Trick or attack?
According to the "Axios" publication, Iranian officials are skeptical of the US's offers for negotiations. They believe Washington might be buying time for a surprise military attack under the guise of talks. Therefore, Iran's state agency "IRNA" is currently denying reports about new meetings.
Dear readers, in your opinion, can Trump's sharp threats bring Iran back to the negotiating table? Can such naval clashes lead to a major war?
