Emergency meeting at the Kremlin: What threats were discussed

An unexpected and highly significant political dialogue has taken place in the Russian capital. President Vladimir Putin held an emergency meeting at the Kremlin to discuss in detail the issues of ensuring citizen safety ahead of one of the most critical processes in the country's life — the parliamentary elections. Zamin.uz presents the details of the primary threats and the decisive measures that must be taken, as mentioned during this council.
A historic juncture and strategic tasks
The head of state emphasized that the upcoming voting processes will take place under extremely complex conditions, particularly during a period of heightened external threats and risks of sabotage. Calling the situation a "historic turning point," the president noted that protecting the election process from any aggression is a priority task for the state.
"Digital shield" and protection against cyberattacks
The meeting focused specifically on the integrity of information systems. The president ordered the establishment of strict control in the following areas:
Protection of state resources: Providing all digital platforms of the Central Election Commission with a "reliable shield" against external interference.
Continuity: Guaranteeing the error-free and uninterrupted operation of electronic systems before and on the day of the election.
Social services: Maintaining the stability of all state services that are vital for the public.
"The Kyiv regime and its sponsors have openly resorted to terrorist methods," the president stated.
Special security regime in new regions
The president addressed the new constituent entities of Russia — the LPR, DPR, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions. It is known that the September elections will be the first local political process for the residents of these territories. Therefore, the task was set to take proactive operational measures to prevent potential unrest and provocations.
"Those who deny the historical right of Donbas and Novorossiya to be part of Russia cannot be stopped by persuasion," the head of state said, addressing law enforcement agencies.
Ending bureaucracy: People's lives are the priority
Vladimir Putin called on law enforcement officers to abandon dry reports and bureaucracy when working on the ground. According to him, the actions of security personnel must correspond to the actual situation rather than just being on paper, as human lives are at stake.
The meeting also provided specific instructions on ensuring the voting rights of participants in the Special Military Operation (SMO) and guaranteeing the safety of election commission members working near the front lines.
Dear readers, in your opinion, what is the most effective way to fully protect digital election systems from cyberattacks? How will the strengthening of security measures affect voter turnout?
