Bolivian President’s Adviser Arrested in Attempted Murder Case

Argentine political consultant Fernando Cerimedo, who worked with Bolivian President Rodrigo Paz, has been remanded in custody for 180 days after being accused of attempting to murder his former girlfriend, Nadya Beller. The El Deber newspaper reported this.
According to the newspaper, a judge ordered that the Argentine citizen be held in custody during the preliminary investigation. Beller, who was injured in the attack, is currently receiving treatment in hospital. She took part in the court hearing via videoconference.
Cerimedo is known as a political consultant. He played an important role in the election campaign of Argentina’s current president, Javier Milei. According to the TN television channel, he was one of the key figures behind the development of Milei’s party’s digital strategy.
In addition, Cerimedo has maintained ties with former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro.
