Chevrolet has introduced the Blazer EV.R, a 1300-horsepower electric prototype designed for NASCAR’s electric racing future. It is expected to make its live debut at the Daytona 500 this weekend.
Technical Specs of Blazer EV.R
The Blazer EV.R is built on the NASCAR Next-Gen chassis but replaces the traditional V8 with three six-phase electric motors capable of 15,000 RPM and all-wheel drive with torque vectoring.
The battery is a 78-kWh liquid-cooled unit, and the car features enhanced aerodynamics, a large front bumper, and a massive rear wing. Chevrolet currently sees it as a test platform for innovations rather than a production model.
