In Uzbekistan, it will be possible to write personal names on car license plates. This is considered a new and unique service in the automotive industry in our country. According to Government Resolution No. 562, now any person will be able to display a name or special inscription on the car number at their discretion.
According to the decree, from January 1, 2026, the state unitary enterprise "Uzavtomotobelgi" will be granted special powers. This enterprise produces unique license plates for motor vehicles based on the demands and wishes of the population. These figures will be provided through open electronic auctions.
According to the new procedure, a combination of up to six letters and (or) numbers can be used in one country number. This allows each person to decorate their car number in their own special and personal way. For example, cars with inscriptions like "ELYOR," "AZIZA," "ODIL" or even the city name - "BUKHARA" can be seen.
At the same time, a number of requirements and restrictions have been established. Unique figures should not duplicate current figures and should not contradict legislation and ethical norms. This is intended to ensure order and transparency in the system.
