In August 2025, 90,000 passenger cars were sold in Uzbekistan, Uz24.uz reported. This is a 9.5% decrease compared to July.
The sharpest declines were seen in Tashkent, Khorezm, and Kashkadarya. However, regions like Karakalpakstan, Syrdarya, and Andijan saw growth in sales volume.
In the primary market, 37,600 new cars were sold, including 32,600 locally produced ones. Imported new vehicles totaled 4,900, showing a noticeable monthly decline of 9.4%.
In the secondary market, sales dropped to 52,700 units (−14.3%). Electric vehicle sales, meanwhile, increased by 0.6% monthly and 4.6 times year-over-year.
