
Poet Shamsiddin Turaev, who works under the pseudonym Shamsiddin Sadoiy, filed a complaint with the Ministry of Justice against singer Botir Kadirov.
It was found that the singer used his poems “Davlating borida”, “Omonat” and “Tingla druzhim” without the permission of the copyright holder and without paying royalties in the appropriate manner.

In the case, an administrative offense report was drawn up against the offender in accordance with Article 177, Part 1 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility and sent to the appropriate court.
According to the decision of the Chilonzor District Court for Criminal Cases of Tashkent City, a fine of 1,875,000 (one million eight hundred seventy-five thousand) soums was imposed on the offender in accordance with Part 1 of Article 177, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, equal to 5 (five) times the basic calculation amount.
It should be noted that earlier, singer Yulduz Turdiyeva also appealed to the Ministry of Justice for singing the poet's poem "Ishqingda Kuyaga" without his permission under the name "Kuymaslar", and an agreement was reached between the parties.
It should be noted that, in accordance with Article 65 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Copyright and Related Rights", the author or other owner of exclusive rights has the right to demand from the infringer, instead of compensation for damage, compensation in the amount of twenty to one thousand times the base calculation amount.
