With his mischievous smile and folk creative path, Mirzabek Kholmedov has won the love of millions of fans and has been awarded another high honor. On August 23, by decree signed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, he was awarded the “Labor Glory” order.
The decree noted that Kholmedov occupies an important place not only in the field of art but also in spiritual life. His multifaceted talent, fruitful activity in the field of theater, and contribution to raising the people's consciousness were recognized as valuable for the development of the country.
This award is remarkable in that it was given not only for his personal achievements but also for his large-scale services in art and social life. Known among the people as a “master of words,” Kholmedov has for many years occupied a special place on stage, conveying Uzbek humor and life reality through jokes.
At the same time, among those awarded with the order were also a number of scientists, teachers, artists, and public figures. For example, Nasrulla Abdullaev — deputy director of the Institute of Chemistry of Plant Substances, Farida Akbarova — head of the “Bustan” sanatorium, professor Ibragim Askarov, actress Hakimakhon Otakhonova, literary critic Vahob Rakhmonov, and others received high state awards.
Looking at Mirzabek Kholmedov’s creative path, his first steps on stage began back in his student years. After graduating from the institute, he founded his own “Mirzo Theater.” Together with him in this troupe were Shukurullo Isroilov and Valijon Shamshiev. Over the years, the team renewed and expanded, remaining in the public spotlight.
In 1985, he took part in the play “Maysara’s Tricks” on the stage of the Uzbek State Drama Theater named after Abror Khidoyatov, where he played a role as an actor and gained great experience. From that time, his creative activity took on an even wider scope.
Today Mirzabek Kholmedov is known not only as an actor but also as the head of the Satire Theater. His stage actions, folk performances, and sincere jokes are valuable for many. His awarding with the order is regarded not only as recognition of his personal work but also as great respect for the entire artistic world.
