In Turkey, Irmoq O‘ztosh, a beauty pageant winner, model, and translator, has drawn public attention after starting work at a bakery. This was reported by Odatv.

In 2022, she won the title of "Best Model of Southeastern Anatolia" at the national "Best Model" competition and also participated in the "World Miss University" pageant held in South Korea. She later moved to Istanbul with dreams of acting and modeling; however, job opportunities did not materialize there.

Subsequently, she returned to her hometown of Izmir. Despite graduating from the translation department of the Izmir University of Economics, she was unable to find a job in her specialty for 7 months.

Irmoq O‘ztosh also stated that she had previously translated two books and one documentary from English into Turkish. She noted that the development of artificial intelligence is making it difficult to find work in certain professions.

Ultimately, she decided to work at a bakery in order to secure a stable income. It was mentioned that an acquaintance of hers also went to Istanbul with dreams of acting but is currently working at a bakery as well.

“I wanted to study acting, but my father advised me to finish my studies. Now, I am earning my own bread,” said Irmoq O‘ztosh.

Her story has once again brought the issues of the labor market and youth employment in Turkey to the forefront of the agenda.
