Khamenei: Iran to strengthen control over the Persian Gulf
Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei announced the country's intention to strengthen its influence over the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf. In a statement made on April 30, he emphasized that Tehran is capable of ensuring maritime security independently, without the need for external forces. Khamenei asserted that Iran can maintain control over the Strait, which would help stabilize the region and counteract negative actions from adversaries, suggesting a more stable and promising future for the Persian Gulf without U.S. involvement.
Supreme Leader of Iran Mojtaba Khamenei has stated the country's intention to maintain and strengthen its influence in the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf region.
He made this statement in an address on April 30 in honor of Persian Gulf Day. According to Khamenei, Tehran is capable of independently ensuring maritime security in the region and does not see a need for the involvement of external forces in this regard.
"Relying on its practical capabilities, Iran can ensure control over the Strait of Hormuz. Through this, it is possible to strengthen stability in the Persian Gulf region and put an end to the negative actions of enemies," he emphasized.
He also noted that regional security can be ensured without the participation of the United States, stating that under such conditions, a "more stable and promising future" awaits the Persian Gulf.
