In June 2025, the composite business climate index in Uzbekistan increased to 63 points, reaching a two-year high. It rose by 10 points over the year, according to the Center for Economic and Regional Studies (CERS) (the results are available to Kursiv Uzbekistan).
Compared to the previous month, the index grew by two points. The current business situation index reached 47 points, and the expectations index increased to 80 points.
Thirty-eight percent of entrepreneurs reported an improvement in the business environment over the last three months. The same percentage of respondents noted an increase in demand. Seventy-one percent of entrepreneurs see potential for further growth in demand in the future.
The highest values of the composite business climate index were recorded in the services sector (68 points). Meanwhile, the most optimistic group in June 2025 were representatives of the industrial sector. Eighty-three percent of industrial enterprise managers expect an improvement in the business climate.
The only sector that showed a significant decline in expectations was construction. The number of optimists among respondents from construction companies dropped to 73% compared to 82% in June last year.
