Uzbekistan's gold reserves reach $48.74 billion

According to the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, the country’s gold and foreign exchange reserves reached $48.74 billion by the end of July 2025. This is an increase of 0.4% or $193.7 million compared to the previous month.

Since the beginning of the year, Uzbekistan’s reserves have grown by $7.56 billion, marking an 18.4% rise. Analysts attribute this growth to stable gold prices on the global market and the country’s active policy in the precious metals sector.

For reference, in June 2025 Uzbekistan was the world’s largest gold buyer. During that month, central banks around the globe purchased a total of 22 tons of gold.
