According to the National Statistics Committee, in 2024, a total of 507.5 trillion soums of investments in fixed assets were utilized in Uzbekistan for the development of various areas of the economy and social sphere. This figure is assessed as the growth of the country's economic potential and the result of reforms in new areas.
Of particular importance is the information and communication sector, which has attracted 16.7 trillion soums of investments. This represents 3.3 percent of the total investment volume. The main part of these funds was directed to the telecommunications network, and their share in the total investment amounted to 2.2 percent.
When analyzing the indicators by year, it is clear that the funds allocated to the sector have consistently increased. For example:
in 2016 - 1.1 trillion soums,
in 2017 - 1.9 trillion soums,
in 2018 - 1.6 trillion soums,
in 2019 - 2.7 trillion soums,
in 2020 and 2021 - 9 trillion soums,
in 2022 - 6.9 trillion soums,
in 2023 - 8.8 trillion soums,
In 2024, it reached 16.7 trillion soums.
These figures confirm that in recent years, the information and communication sphere has been considered a strategic priority not only economically, but also socially. The annual increase in allocated funds serves to accelerate digital reforms, develop telecommunications networks, and improve the quality of internet services.
