
According to the results of the first nine months of 2025, the largest contribution to Uzbekistan’s economy traditionally comes from Tashkent city and Tashkent region. These two regions have provided almost one-third of the country's gross domestic product.
This information was provided by the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics. Among the regions, the capital Tashkent leads, accounting for 19.3 percent of the total.
Tashkent region ranks second, with this figure making up 9.7 percent. The following regions were recorded in subsequent positions: • Navoi region — 8.3%; • Samarkand region — 6.7%; • Fergana region — 6.1%; • Andijan region — 5.7%; • Kashkadarya region — 5.3%; • Bukhara region — 4.6%; • Namangan region — 4.5%; • Surkhandarya region — 3.6%; • Khorezm region — 3.4%; • Jizzakh region — 2.9%; • Republic of Karakalpakstan — 2.8%; • Syrdarya region — 1.9%.
