As of May 1, 2026, the number of operating enterprises and organizations in our country reached 580.9 thousand, Uz24.uz reported.
This figure represents an increase of 40.2 thousand, or 7.4 percent, compared to the same period last year.
The highest number of enterprises and organizations were registered in Tashkent, reaching 110.8 thousand.
Additionally, 54.8 thousand enterprises operate in Tashkent Region, 53.7 thousand in Samarkand Region, and 49.4 thousand in Fergana Region.
The lowest figure was observed in Syrdarya Region, where 16.5 thousand enterprises and organizations are registered.
Figures for other regions are as follows: Kashkadarya Region — 44,492, Andijan Region — 35,605, Bukhara Region — 35,223.
Furthermore, 34,035 enterprises operate in Namangan Region, 32,895 in Khorezm Region, and 32,320 in Surkhandarya Region.
In the Republic of Karakalpakstan, 29,682 enterprises and organizations are registered, 26,916 in Jizzakh Region, and 24,351 in Navoi Region.
