Proper sleep becomes the new symbol of success
Sleep is becoming the new currency of success, and an entire industry is actively profiting from this trend. Smart rings, mattresses costing tens of thousands of dollars, blackout curtains, and even "sleep tourism" are no longer just fads, but part of a growing sleep economy worth over $500 billion. Gadgets to monitor sleep phases, lavender tea, and even black electrical tape are the new must-haves among the business elite, according to Peopletalk.

Founders of major companies recall waking up at 4 a.m. and being at their desks by 7:30. Now, they prefer to sleep at least six hours. Many have started tracking their sleep and consider self-care part of their management philosophy.

Young people are also embracing the trend. Gen Z is massively rejecting sleepless nights and launching “sleepmaxing” guides on TikTok — from relaxing playlists to non-alcoholic cocktails. Sotira CEO Amrita Bhasin admits that sleep is now her top priority, not something to skimp on.

According to experts, quality sleep improves brain function, reduces anxiety, and helps make better decisions. While the sleep industry offers thousands of ways to enhance rest, specialists advise not to overdo it: sometimes a cool, dark room, a consistent schedule, and a few quiet evening rituals are enough.
