
The Strategic Reforms Agency held another dialogue with representatives of the financial sector as part of the preparation of a set of measures to increase the share of electronic payments. The agency's press service reported this.
The meeting was attended by the country's largest payment organizations - Ulugbek Rustamov, founder and CEO of Click, Dilshod Keldiyarov, legal director of OSON, and Anvar Isamuhamedov, general director of Paynet.
During the discussion, the factors ensuring the superiority of electronic payment systems over other types of settlements, as well as the importance of expanding the list of sectors where electronic payments are mandatory, were discussed.
The heads of payment organizations noted that cash still prevails in areas such as collecting patent fees in parking lots and markets. It was proposed to include these areas in the list of mandatory sectors where electronic payments are accepted.
The issue of transferring railway tickets, payments for utilities, and purchases through the marketplace to a completely cashless system was also raised.
It was reported that the Strategic Reforms Agency is preparing a draft presidential decree to increase the number of electronic payments and create a convenient and modern payment infrastructure.
