New Convenience at the Border: Electronic Queue and 24-Hour Crossing at “Dustlik”
One of the busiest directions on the Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan border — the “Dustlik” checkpoint — will introduce a new electronic queue system starting from July. This was officially announced by the head of the Kyrgyzstan Customs Service, Almaz Saliev, and the news quickly attracted public attention.

As Almaz Saliev emphasized, the “Dustlik” checkpoint is of great importance for border movement. Thousands of goods and vehicles, hundreds of drivers and passengers pass through this corridor every day. The introduction of the new electronic queue system will significantly reduce waiting time in line, ease congestion, and minimize the human factor.

Now, drivers and passengers will be able to register for the electronic queue via mobile phone and cross the border at a convenient time. This system was previously tested at the “Kyzyl-Kiya” checkpoint and proved itself: throughput capacity increased several times, and waiting in line became much easier.

According to Saliev, this project will later be introduced step by step at all border checkpoints in Kyrgyzstan. At the same time, work is underway to implement the electronic queue system at the Kyrgyz-Kazakh border.

The new rules and innovations are especially important during the peak tourist season. Through the border, citizens of Uzbekistan will be able to visit such beautiful natural sites as the Shahimardan enclave, Kurbon Lake, Dugoba and Gauvyan valleys at any time without obstacles.

At the same time, from June 18, three more automobile checkpoints on the Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan state border — “Kadamjay-avtodorozhny”, “Chechme-avtodorozhny” and “Ok-Kiya-avtodorozhny” — are operating around the clock. This decision was made following negotiations between the heads of the border services of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.

Only citizens of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan can cross through these checkpoints. The 24-hour working regime will continue until October 1, 2025. Both countries aim to ensure convenience and security at the border crossing.

Zamin.uz is closely monitoring these processes and continues to promptly and fully cover any changes and news at the border. The electronic queue, uninterrupted service, and new conveniences will make border movement even faster and safer.
