A new initiative is being implemented in Uzbekistan aimed at improving the consumer culture of the population and the rational use of food products. This process will be implemented based on the action plan outlined within the framework of the "Rational Consumption" (Save Food) program.
According to it, from now on, separate stalls will be organized in large shopping centers and various grocery stores of the country for products that are nearing the end of consumption. Prices for goods in these special departments are consistently reduced every 10 days. Thanks to this, the population will be able to purchase goods at affordable prices, and stores will be able to reduce losses.
Within the framework of the program, it is planned to establish sufficient control not only at retail outlets, but also at each stage of product delivery from the field to the buyer. In particular, the processes of collection, sorting, transportation, placement in refrigerated warehouses, and delivery of grown products to retail outlets will be under special monitoring. This serves to prevent the loss or deterioration of the quality of food products.
Responsible agencies emphasize that such an initiative is important not only for meeting the daily needs of the population at affordable prices, but also for ensuring food security in the country and as an effective measure against waste.
According to experts, the effectiveness of this program largely depends on the active participation of the population. If buyers make it a habit to buy expiring products at low prices, this will have a positive economic effect not only on them, but on the entire market system.
Thus, thanks to the "Rational Consumption" program, a new era is beginning in Uzbekistan, which has great economic and social significance.
