Another 6 children left without care in Russia were returned to Uzbekistan

Six more children from Uzbekistan who were left homeless in various regions of Russia have been returned to the country. The Children's Ombudsman of Uzbekistan made an official statement about this.

According to the report, the Children's Ombudsman appealed to his colleague in Russia with a request for immediate assistance in the temporary placement of minors. As a result, the Russian side took the necessary measures, and the children were temporarily held in appropriate institutions.

On February 8, 2026, 6 children - 4 from Moscow and 2 from the Moscow region - were brought to Uzbekistan accompanied by representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Currently, they are placed in the Center for Social and Legal Assistance to Minors in Tashkent.

The National Agency for Social Protection is taking the necessary legal measures to formalize guardianship by close relatives of these children. The Ombudsmen stated that they would continue such humanitarian actions in cooperation with each other.
