First Grade Admission Processes Expanded and Implemented Online

For the 2026–2027 academic year, the admission processes for first grade in general education schools have been further improved and expanded. This was reported by the education authorities.
It is reported that the number of districts and cities where online application submission is implemented has increased from 64 to 135, and the number of schools has increased from 1,956 to 5,689. These measures are aimed at creating convenience for the population and reducing queues at schools.
The admission process is carried out in the following order:
- June 20 – July 31: within the micro-district;
- August 1 – August 31: outside the micro-district.
Applications are accepted through the Unified Interactive Portal of Public Services (my.gov.uz) and through the special portal my.maktab.uz, which ensures efficiency and simplicity of the process.
The conditions for admission to the first grade are clear: the child must turn 7 years old, that is, for the 2026–2027 academic year, children born before December 31, 2019, are accepted. In areas where the online system is not implemented, admissions are conducted traditionally by the schools.
To ensure openness and transparency of the admission process, all information will be posted in schools. This creates convenience for parents and children and eliminates uncertainty.
In addition, for first-grade students of the new academic year, 12 types of educational materials in the form of gifts from the President are planned, which will be delivered to all schools by August 20. This further stimulates children’s interest in learning and supports the educational process.
Thus, the school admission process this time is not only online, fast, and convenient, but also open, transparent, and maximally comfortable for children, increasing parents’ confidence.
