President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has arrived in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, for a working visit. The head of state was welcomed at the airport by Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov and other officials.
In accordance with the visit program, the Uzbek leader will participate in the next meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council. The President is scheduled to attend this event in the capacity of the head of an observer state.
The Supreme Eurasian Economic Council meeting serves as an important platform for discussing regional economic cooperation, trade relations, transport and logistics routes, and mutually beneficial projects. Uzbekistan's participation in these processes demonstrates the country's focus on regional dialogue and economic partnership.
It is also expected that issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation will be discussed during the visit to Astana. Relations between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan have been actively developing in all areas in recent years.
