Young mother stabbed to death 18 times in Chiroqchi

A family dispute in the Chiroqchi district of the Kashkadarya region ended in a horrific tragedy. According to court documents, a man born in 2001, who had married in October 2023, saw his wife move back to her parents' house with their baby on January 28, 2026, due to ongoing domestic disagreements.

It was revealed that the woman had told her husband she no longer wished to live with him and had decided to divorce him because he was not providing for the family financially. Two weeks later, the man secretly entered the house where she was staying through a balcony. Suspecting that his wife was talking to another man on the phone, he demanded that she unlock her phone.

When the woman refused, the man first beat her severely, striking her in the face, head, and various parts of her body, which resulted in a broken jaw. He then grabbed a knife from the kitchen and stabbed her 18 times in the back, waist, and other parts of her body. The young mother died at the scene due to her severe injuries.

It was determined that this horrific crime was committed in front of their minor child, born on July 18, 2024.

The Chiroqchi District Court for Criminal Cases found the man guilty of intentional murder and sentenced him to 17 years in prison. Additionally, the court ruling ordered the payment of 100 million soums in moral damages to the victim's legal representative.
