In recent years, UFC has staged major events across various countries and cities, but now it is aiming for an unprecedented spectacle — hosting fights at the White House grounds.
According to UFC President Dana White, the plan is real and confirmed to happen. He said the event format and technical details have been discussed with U.S. President Donald Trump, with only final coordination with the White House administration remaining.
The fighter lineup has not yet been finalized, but among the potential participants is Trump’s favorite fighter, Colby Covington. However, his recent fight record and the strong competition in his division could make participation difficult.
Trump’s plan is to stage the historic bout in 2026, to mark the 250th anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Declaration of Independence. The President expects around 25,000 spectators to attend.
