In the Uzbekistan Cup semi-final, "Bukhara" defeated "Sogdiana" with a score of 3:2 and qualified for the final for the first time in their history. After the match, the team's head coach, Aleksandr Khomyakov, participated in a press conference and spoke about the game and the victory achieved.

I recently joined the team, but "Bukhara" has come a long way to the final - they advanced from the group stage, won the quarter-finals, and now they have shown their best in the semi-finals. I thank every player, because this victory belongs to all of us. I am very happy to have the opportunity to participate in the cup final for the second time. We played extra time in a tough match, but we never gave up," said Khomyakov.
The coach emphasized that the victory goal scored by young substitute Nodirbek Ahmadjonov is the result of the team's hard work.
"For me, it doesn't matter who played in the starting lineup or who came off the bench. Each contributed their share to the team. Nodirjon quickly adapted to the meeting and showed himself with confidence. The goal he scored was not only beautiful, but also an important one that led the team to the final. Today, every footballer contributes to the victory. Now we will all celebrate this success together," the head coach added.
