In November, during the official FIFA dates, a major international tournament among youth teams will take place in China. Four of Asia’s strongest national teams — Uzbekistan, South Korea, Vietnam, and China (U23) — will participate. The event is viewed not only as a test of skills but also as an important stage of preparation for the upcoming AFC U23 Asian Cup.
The tournament will be held in several Chinese cities, with each team playing at least three matches. These games will allow coaches to test new tactical approaches, assess the players’ potential, and improve team performance.
Uzbekistan U23 head coach Ravshan Haydarov had previously announced that his team would participate in the November competition. According to him, the tournament “will be a very important learning experience for young players.”
Earlier this year, Uzbekistan’s U23 team successfully qualified for the Asian Cup and secured a place in the main stage. Therefore, the matches in China will be a vital part of the team’s preparation process.
Each opponent has its own unique style and strengths: South Korea is known for its technical and fast play, Vietnam stands out for its discipline and teamwork, while China aims to win on home soil.
Uzbekistan’s U23 squad is preparing to showcase its fighting spirit, tactical discipline, and teamwork in this tournament. The coaching staff also plans to test several new candidates for the national team.
For the young Uzbek players, the competition in China will be an invaluable chance to gain international experience, adapt to different styles of play, and move closer to the senior national team level.
Tournament results and updates on Uzbekistan U23 matches will be published on Zamin.uz.
