
The Uzbekistan national team won another medal at the World Wrestling Championship under 23 years old, which is taking place in the Serbian city of Novi Sad.
In Greco-Roman wrestling, Mehroj Bahromov, competing in the -60 kg weight category, showed a worthy result among strong competitors and became a bronze medalist. In the decisive match for third place, he skillfully defeated his Azerbaijani opponent and added another medal to the team's tally.
The competition in the designated weight category was quite intense - major athletes from different countries of the world participated. During the competition, Mehroj Bahromov was distinguished by his strong will, precise movements, and tactical superiority. Each of his victories is not only a personal achievement, but also a testament to the high level of training of the Uzbek Kurash school.
Bahromov defeated American and Romanian athletes in the first round, and in the semifinals, he faced a Turkish opponent with extensive experience in world championships. Unfortunately, he missed the opportunity in that match with a small margin. But in the bronze medal match, he gathered all his strength and won.
