The World Junior Championships in Qatar have entered an intense phase - the group stage has concluded, and knockout matches have officially begun. Now the value of each game is enormous: one mistake can deprive you of the next stage.
Under these circumstances, the Uzbekistan U-17 national team, led by Islombek Ismoilov, will play one of its most important matches today, November 15th. The opponent is Croatia, known in European football for its academy and talents.
The match kicks off at 20:45 Tashkent time at the Espiral academy. For our adolescents, not only tactical stability but also psychological strength will become a decisive factor.
The Uzbekistan youth team successfully completed the group stage: they scored 6 points, took 2nd place, and secured a playoff spot. Now the team will compete with Croatia for a place in the quarter-finals - although the opponent's style of play relies on physical strength, speed, and discipline, Ismailov's pupils are also ready to show their abilities.
If they win at this stage, the next opponent will not be easy either: the winner of the Italian-Czech pair will be waiting for the Uzbek teenagers. This means that our team faces another challenge.
For the fans, the most important thing is that the team believes in themselves, is growing from game to game, and is able to make us happy at every minute they enter the field. There is great hope that the same spirit, the same character will manifest itself again in today's game.
