The round of 16 of the FIFA U-17 World Cup, hosted by Qatar, has concluded. Unfortunately, the Uzbekistan U-17 national team lost the match against Italy with a score of 2:3 and was forced to withdraw from the competition. Our team fought until the last minute, but couldn't overcome the opponent's resistance.
Based on the results of this stage, the pairs that will meet in the quarter-final stage have also been determined. At the decisive moment of the tournament, even one mistake is very expensive for each team, so the probability of unexpected results is even higher.
The quarterfinal pairs were formed as follows:
- Austria U-17 - Japan U-17
- Italy U-17 - Burkina Faso U-17
- Portugal U-17 - Switzerland U-17
- Morocco U-17 - Brazil U-17
According to the organizers of the tournament, all quarter-final matches will be held on November 21. This means that the names of the four strongest teams in the Youth World Cup will be announced on this day.
Although our guys withdrew from the competition, their fighting spirit, willpower, and character occupied a special place in the hearts of the fans. Serious battles will now begin between the best teams.
