In the -80 kg weight category, Uzbekistan’s skilled boxer Javohir Ummataliyev faced Russia’s Jambulat Bijamov in the final match. The bout was characterized by high intensity, fierce competition, and cautious tactical exchanges. In the first round, Ummataliyev displayed activity and managed to secure a slight advantage over his opponent.
However, in the second and third rounds, the Russian boxer gained momentum and achieved a scoring advantage. Javohir fought until the very end and did not give up, but ultimately, the judges' decision awarded the victory to the opponent. As a result, Ummataliyev concluded the World Championship with a silver medal, adding another award to the Uzbekistan national team’s collection.
