In the -80 kg weight category, Uzbekistan’s skilled boxer Javohir Ummataliyev faced Russia’s Jambulat Bijamov in the final match. In the first round, Ummataliyev displayed activity and managed to secure a slight advantage over his opponent.
However, in the second and third rounds, the Russian boxer gained momentum and achieved a scoring advantage. Javohir fought until the very end and did not give up, but ultimately, the judges' decision awarded the victory to the opponent. As a result, Ummataliyev concluded the World Championship with a silver medal, adding another award to the Uzbekistan national team’s collection.
