
From December 15 to 21 this year, the World School Chess Championship in rapid and blitz formats took place in Antalya, Turkey. Featuring talented students aged 9 to 17, the prestigious competition highlighted Uzbekistan's national team as one of the strongest contenders.
According to the results of the tournament, the Uzbek players won a total of 12 medals, securing an absolute first place in the overall team standings. These achievements not only reflect statistics but also convincingly demonstrate the growing strength of chess institutions in Uzbekistan.
Particularly in the junior categories, Uzbek participants showcased stable performances, high-level preparation, and remarkable psychological resilience. Winning in quick formats such as rapid and blitz is challenging for any chess player, but Uzbekistan’s youth passed this test with outstanding success.
