Former midfielder of Saint Petersburg’s "Zenit" club and the Russian national team, Vladislav Radimov, commented on Russian player Matvey Safonov being named "PSG’s Best Player" for December. The goalkeeper’s performance was highly rated by journalists of *Le Parisien* magazine.
"I agree with this choice. Who else could be chosen over Safonov this month?
It is very significant that the French media recognized him. This acknowledgment carries great value," said the football expert during a broadcast on *Match TV*.
It should be noted that Safonov was recently named the best player in the Intercontinental Cup match against Brazil’s "Flamengo" club. In the post-match penalty shootout, the Russian goalkeeper saved four of the opponent’s shots.
