The Turkish Super Lig Round 18 match between Istanbul Basaksehir and Fatih Karagumruk is still underway. Two of our compatriots — forward Eldor Shomurodov and midfielder Abbos Fayzullayev — started for the hosts.
Basaksehir looked sharp in attack from the opening minutes. In one such spell of pressure, in the 15th minute, Eldor Shomurodov met a precise lofted cross from the flank and powered a header into the opponent’s net. The hosts took the lead.
The tempo remained high after the goal, but the score stayed the same until halftime. The first half ended 1–0 in favor of Istanbul Basaksehir.
After the break, the second half is in progress. Fans are hoping for more attacks involving our compatriot, Fayzullayev’s influence in midfield, and further shots from Shomurodov to extend the lead.
