In the 18th round of the Turkish Super League, Istanbul Bashakshehir hosted the struggling Fatih Karagumryuk at home, securing the crucial three points in a 2-1 victory. The match at the Fatih Terim Stadium was decided at a dramatic moment for the fans, and the most pleasant part was that our compatriot Eldor Shomurodov opened the scoring.
In the 15th minute, Bashakshehir's attack proved effective: Shomurodov capitalized on the opportunity, scoring a goal and putting the hosts ahead. This goal allowed the team to control the game, act confidently, and keep the opponent under pressure.
In the second half, the struggle on the field intensified. In the 57th minute, Abbos Fayzullayev was substituted - our compatriot actively moved throughout the game, trying to speed up attacks with passes. Later, in the 75th minute, "Karagumryuk" equalized through Fofana, reviving the intrigue. At that moment, a mood of "what will happen now?" arose in the stands.
But the hosts managed to say the last word. In the 87th minute, Shahiner scored the decisive goal, bringing the victory to Bashakshehir. Eldor Shomurodov was substituted in the 89th minute - he fulfilled his duties and left the field, inspiring the team with the first goal.
Following this victory, Nuri Shahin's team reached 26 points and moved up to 6th place in the standings. "Fatih Karagumryuk" remains in last place - 18th place with 9 points.
