Uzbekistan national team striker Eldor Shomurodov explained why he went to the Turkish Super League after his time in Serie A and why he chose Istanbul Bashakshehir. The 30-year-old legionnaire emphasized that one thing was at the heart of this decision - more game practice and an environment where he could fully express himself.
Eldor said that when choosing a new club, he did not hesitate, looking at others, on the contrary, he acted with a clear goal.
"I chose Istanbul Bashakshehir to get more playing time. I was very impressed by the coaching staff and the team's playing style. Right now, I'm only thinking about Istanbul Bashakshehir. I haven't considered any other team options in the league," the footballer said.
These words indicate that Shomurodov's decision was not accidental. A crucial aspect for him is confidence, the ability to play, and a suitable playing style. So, he didn't look for a "favorable contract," but found a place to compete for results.
For information, Shomurodov moved from "Roma" to "Istanbul Bashakshehir" on loan last summer. The deal was valued at €3 million, with the Turkish club also earning the right to purchase it in full later.
