The fourth round of the Masters group once again brought joy to Uzbek fans. Nodirbek Abdusattorov played a convincing game against the Czech representative Nguyen Tai Dai Van with white pieces and achieved an important victory. With this result, he earned 3 points and rose to the first place in the tournament standings according to additional indicators.
Abdusattorov did not start the tournament easily. In the first round, he recorded a comfortable result with Turkey's Yagiz Kaan Erdogmus. In the second round, he defeated India's Pragnanandha Rameshbabu, showing himself to be among the favorites. After drawing with Aravindh Chitambaram in the third round, Nodirbek found a way to win again in the fourth round and took the lead.
In this round, Javahir Sindorov was also not left out. The World Cup winner won the match against Matthias Bluebaum from Germany, bringing his score to 2.5 points. As a result, he also rose to second place in the standings.
Sindorov's previous matches proved to be tough: he drew matches against the current world champion Gukesh Dommaraju, Anish Giri and Vladimir Fedoseyev. Now, his first victory has further accelerated his "run" in the tournament.
Now all eyes are on the fifth round. There, Nodirbek Abdusattorov will face Hans Niemann from the United States. Javahir Sindorov will face Yagiz Kaan Erdogmus from Turkey in another crucial match.
In short, the tournament has started to heat up: Abdusattorov is in the lead, Sindorov is close behind. Now there is only one thing left for the fans - if the same pace is maintained in the next round, the Uzbek "two-headed sun" will shine for a long time on the schedule.
