Uzbek judokas win historic victory in Taldykorgan

In the city of Taldykorgan, Kazakhstan, the traditional international memorial judo tournament for athletes under 23 years of age was held at a high level. This prestigious competition served as a major test for young athletes and brought together participants from various parts of the world.

A total of 531 judokas from 21 countries took part in the competition, fighting for medals. Strong competition and the large number of participants made the tournament even more intense and exciting.

The most pleasing news is that the Uzbekistan youth national team finished this international event with true dominance. In total, the team won 9 gold, 8 silver, and 7 bronze medals, securing first place in the overall team standings with 24 medals.

During the tournament, a number of young athletes stood out with their skills. In particular, Sаъдулла Ravshanov (-81 kg), Diyorbek Fayzullaev (-90 kg), Fazliddin Rafikov (+100 kg), Zarina Jamalova (-48 kg), Nigina Umirzoqova (-52 kg), Mohinur Allaberganova (-57 kg), Gulbahor Imomnazarova (-63 kg), Nigina Saparbaeva (-63 kg), and Zarina Bobonazarova (+78 kg) became champions in their respective weight categories.

Thanks to their victories, the State Anthem of Uzbekistan was played several times on the international stage, which became an unforgettable moment for the country’s athletes.

The Press Service of the Uzbekistan Judo Federation officially reported these results. This victory once again demonstrated the great potential of young Uzbek judokas.
